Apricity

A Pathway to
Post-Traumatic Growth

Philosophy

I’m Meggy, the heart and hands behind Apricity, a space to creatively and holistically come home to yourself. My work begins by listening to the body and honoring the wisdom of the nervous system, the part of you that has always known how to protect you.

Through Traditional Chinese Medicine, Somatic Singing, and Synergy Sessions, we soften what has been guarded and welcome what is ready to move. Here, healing becomes embodied art and a pathway to post-traumatic growth.

Healing Pathways

  • A woman with brown hair, wearing a green t-shirt and maroon pants, practices somatic singing with guidance from Meggy Tucker.

    Somatic Singing

Classical vocal techniques meet music and somatic therapy in this trauma-informed practice of movement, breath, and voice. Somatic Singing uses your own sound as medicine for regulation, release, and creative expression.

  • Person receiving acupuncture treatment on their upper back area with thin needles inserted into the skin.

    Acupuncture

Ancient medicine with a modern trauma lens. Acupuncture calms the nervous system, reduces fear responses, and restores balance. Special care is offered for PTSD and postpartum recovery, with treatments tailored to your needs.

  • A woman lying on her back with her eyes closed, receiving acupuncture treatment with thin needles inserted into her face and neck.

    Synergy Sessions

A spacious and holistic session combining movement, breath, voice, and acupuncture. Each experience is tailored to your needs, supporting release, regulation, and integration for deep healing and post-traumatic growth.

WHAT IS APRICITY?

Apricity means the warmth of the sun in winter, and this practice offers that same warmth: a safe, integrated space for healing, reclamation, and growth.

Healing is Better Together

Community Acupuncture

Community acupuncture is my gift to the community — an affordable way to receive individual care while resting alongside others. This inclusive practice offers a welcoming space to heal, connect, and belong.

Acupuncturist Meggy Tucker is working with ginger and various dried herbs and spices on a wooden table, surrounded by jars of ingredients.

I offer tailored workshops for businesses, organizations, and retreats that weave voice, movement, and body-based healing to support resilience, creative exploration, and community connection and growth.

  • “I’ve been seeing Meggy for acupuncture sessions over the past few months, and the impact has been profound. She helped me calm my mind and feel more grounded in my body. It’s hard to fully put into words what happens in the days after a session, but over time I noticed a real shift, my mind became quieter and I felt much more in tune with myself. Meggy has a gentle but powerful way of creating space for healing, and I’m truly grateful for the balance she’s helped me find.”

  • “Meggy sees beyond your complaint. She was able to get a deep insight into where I was in my life and how my different symptoms arise from a deeper underlying cause. She treated me with respect, deep care and trust in the healing process. I came to her with one complaint and she was able to address many others. I am very impressed by her thorough way of treating me.”

  • “Meggy is a warm, grounded, nourishing soul. She created a safe and empowering space that was carefully tailored to me and my needs. Meggy translated technical concepts into accessible and embodied learning, suitable for me as a novice. Her practice is holistic, where you leave feeling more at peace and emboldened.”

  • It was an absolute joy and privilege to be able to hire Meggy for a series of workshops. While the #MeToo movement was emerging and misogyny continued to surface in society, we—a group of female educators—came together to empower one another. Meggy excelled at sensing the group’s needs and identifying the obstacles we faced, both within ourselves and in our organization. She offered a series of workshops that were both caring, safe, and challenging. Meggy's positive and warm energy, authenticity, and professionalism in body and voice work made us stronger - both as a group and individually. Learning to channel anger and feel my boundaries has particularly stayed with me. Meggy brings enormous experience and depth in breathwork, body work, vocal, and theatrical techniques. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to step into their full voice.
